Type locality: Grand Tunnel, Ile Amsterdam, Terres Australes, Antartiques Francaises (TAAF); (Van de Vijver & Cox 2013: 41) Holotype : B, Van de Vijver (TAAF sample AMS-W033); 04/12/2007; bottom of a small, shallow pool, at the end of a small lava cavern, sparsely illuminated and vegetated by mosses, liverworts and small ferns; pH: 5.8; BR; slide no BR-4269 (Van de Vijver & Cox 2013: 41, 43, 44) Notes: Isotypes: slide PLP-213 in University of Antwerp, Belgium; slide ZU8/59 in BRM .
