Type Information
Type locality: El Tor, Gulf of Suez, Sinai, Egypt; (Woelkerling & al. 2005: 479) Lectotype: no collector data; communicavit Dr H. Beckerex herb. Rothpletz [M, according to Stafleu & Cowan 1983: 927]; no date; no habitat data on type; TRH; C19-3409 (Woelkerling & al. 2005: 477) Notes: Lectotype designated by Foslie (1904a, pl. 5, legend to fig. 1). (Woelkering et al. 2005: ) remark: "Adey et al. 1982: 48 incorrectly suggest that Rothpletz’s type material was possibly destroyed in Berlin bombings].". The same authors give "Lectotype: TRH, C19-3438 (see below)" on p. 477, but TRH C19-3409 as lectotype on p. 480; the latter is likely correct.
