The type species (holotype) of the genus Caloglossa is Caloglossa leprieurii (Montagne) G.Martens.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Caloglossa leprieurii (Montagne) G.Martens.

Lectotype locality: Kaladan River, Arakan, Burka; (Silva & al. 1996: 451) Notes: This type locality was first recorded by King & Puttock (1994a: 113).
