Type locality: Hab. in mari Indico ad Manillam (Hb. Binder!) [Manilla, the Philippines]; (Agardh 1848: 78) Type: "Hb. Binder"; (INA 1996) Notes: Type: presumably LD; two specimens, likely from the type collection, are also in S: A12694, A12695 (Huisman et al., 2018).
