Syntype localities: "Cette espèce vit sur les rochers de la côte extérieur de l'îles St.-Pierre, depuis la partiemeridionale jusqu'au Nord-Ouest : je l'ai rencontée à Miclon sur les rochers situés a I'extremite orientale de la chaîne des montagnes de Mirande; et dans la partie Nord-Est de Terre-Neuve, à la Baie-aux-Lièvres, aux environs du Quirpont etc.; je la crois répandue tout autour de l'île."; (Bachelot de la Pylaie 1830: 84) Type: PC or P?;
