Type Information

Only a single plant lacking the holdfast was saved. Field notes, however, verify the recollection that the holdfast is as described..., and this is substantiated by a mature specimen with holdfast among J. Wyatt Durham’s material... from a bay 10 miles N.W. of Guaymas, October 30, 1940.”
