Papenfussiella kuromo f. densa Inagaki, the supposed basionym, was not validly published as it was not accompanied by an illustration [INA; see ICN Art. 44.2] and the present name, for which the requirements for valid publication of a new species were satisfied, should be attributed directly and solely to Kawai and Hanyuda. - (08 June 2016) - G.M.
