Type locality: Naozhou Island, Guangdong, China; (Tseng & Lu Baoren 1992: 33) Notes: Tseng & Lu (1992: 33) give the following data: growing on lower intertidal and subtidal rocks; in April to May (AST 87-1030, 87-1068, 87-1358a, 87-1364, 87-1387, 87-1388, 73-0538, 86-1244, 86-1256).
