Type locality: Southwest side of Split Solitary Island (30o14’S, 153o10’E), New South Wales, Australia; (Millar 1996: 145) Holotype: A.J.K. Millar & R.L. Millar; 24 February 1989; 20m deep on scattered rocky outcrops amongst the Ecklonia radiata stands; NSW; A006252 (Millar 1996: 145) Notes: Holotype is tetrasporophyte. Isotypes: AD, BM, DUKE,GALW, GB, L, MEL,MICH, PC, SAP, TCD, C, S and WELT.
