Cleal & Thomas 2018: "Brongniart had read his paper to the Académie des Sciences (Paris) in January 1822 and it was then published in the Mémoires du Museum d’Histoire naturelle Paris, the first part between 25th May and 1st June 1822, and the second part between 21st and 28th September 1822 (referred to here as Brongniart 1822a and 1822c, respectively). In addition, there was an offprint which included both parts and this was published on the 24th June 1822. Consequently, the second part of the paper was published first in the offprint and not in the journal." The uploaded PDF is the offprint, however, the bibliographic information is given for the papers, since the only algal genus, Fucoides, was published in the first part of the paper.
