Description: Vegetative cells small, thinly armoured with a plate formula of Po, cp, X, 5', 0a, 6", 6c, peduncle cover plate (PC), 5+ s, 5'", 0p, and 2"". Displaced descending cingulum. Benthic resting stages. Nutrition is heterotrophic by myzocytosis via a tubular peduncule.
