Description: Cells motile and free-living. Peridinin-containing chloroplasts surrounded by three membranes. Intraplastidial eyespot with bricklike bodies situated between the eyespot and R1 flagellar root. Ventral fibre associated with the longitudinal basal body. Lammellar body present. Apical groove and thecal plates absent.
