Description: Nonphotosynthetic, noncolonial, nonscaled, bacterivorous chrysophycean bi-flagellate. Distinct and independent phylogenetic lineage within Chrysophyceae. The only close relative is the NCBI sequence AY520450 with an SSU sequence difference of 4.7%.
