Description: Heterotrophic thecate genus with laterally flattened cells and descending cingulum. Apical smooth upright flange. Ventral pore on the first apical plate. Epithecal plates of special morphology (‘multi-pimple’-plate or'dimple’- plate). Spines orflange on second antapical plate.
