Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Prescottiella sudanensis Grönblad, Prowse & A.M.Scott ex Levanets & Janse van Vuuren.

A type was not designated by Grönblad, Prowse & A.M.Scott (1958), although they referred to a figure in Teiling (1957). Förster (1981: 231) selected as "Ikonotype" pl. 10: figs 111, 112, 114 in Grönblad, Prowse & A.M.Scott (1958).
