The type species (holotype) of the genus Pseudophycodrys is Pseudophycodrys phyllophora (J.Agardh) Skottsberg.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Congregatocarpus kurilensis (Ruprecht) M.J.Wynne.
