Nomenclatural note
Podosira moniliformis Ehrenberg is an illegitimate name as "...Ehrenberg was obligated to adopt the epithet hormoides, which Montagne (1839, p. 2) had previously proposed as a substitute for Trochiscia moniliformis Montagne [nom. illeg.].
