The type species (holotype) of the genus Dasya is Dasya pedicellata (C.Agardh) C.Agardh.

Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Eupogodon planus (C.Agardh) Kützing.

"This species (basionym of E. planus) was described by C. Agardh (1827b: 645) from the Adriatic Sea [from Trieste (Italy), according to Millar, 1996: 146]. Kützing (1845: 312) combined it under the genus Eupogodon." (Cormaci & al. 203: 546). - (08 December 2023) - M.D. Guiry
