Nomenclatural note
"The identical sequences of H. chiliensis and H. nigracaulis suggest recent anthropogenic or natural introduction of H. nigracaulis to Chile, a hypothesis further supported by finding matK sequence identity in an additional 16 individuals from four localities off the Chilean coast spanning 300 km to H. nigracaulis from Australia (Coyer, unpubl. data)."
