Type locality: Coupeville, Whidby Island, Washington, USA; (INA 1996) Lectotype: UC; 93486 (Hawkes 1986: 198) Notes: According to Setchell (1901: 125), this was first collected in summer of 1898 by N.L. Gardner at Whidby Island Washington.
