The type species (type conserved) of the genus Rhodochorton is Rhodochorton purpureum (Lightfoot) Rosenvinge.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Acrochaetium arcuatum (K.M.Drew) C.K.Tseng.
