Type locality: AHF Station 1624-48; 1 mile east of White Cove, Santa Catalina Island, California, USA; (Dawson 1949: 9) Holotype: 31 October 1948; on a specimen of Laqueus californicus dredged in 68-70 m; AHF; 28746 (Dawson 1949: 9)
