Type locality: Cap. b. Spei: Table Bay [Table Bay, Cape Peninsula, South Africa]; (Agardh 1848: 48) Lectotype: LD, Herb Agardh; 24572 (Saunders & al. 2017: 104) Notes: In addition to the lectotype in LD, there are several Harvey specimens in TCD labelled "CBS", including TCD0000157.
