Type locality: "An Hypnum bei Borgfeld (Bremen)" [Bremen, Germany, on a moss]; (Bąk & Lange-Bertalot 2015: 356) Lectotype: BRM; Slide 212/73 (Simonsen 1987) Notes: The taxon is typified by Slide 212/73 in Collection Hustedt (BRM). Lectotype designated by R. Simonsen (1987).
Locus typicus: An Hypnum bei Borgfeld (Bremen) leg. Hustedt 1910.
