Type locality: "Pachena Beach, Bamfield, British Columbia, Canada"; (Yamaguchi & al. 2012: 15) Notes: "Both resin-embedded cells used for TEM and cells on gold sputter-coated SEM stubs have been deposited in the Beaty Biodiversity Research Centre (Marine Invertebrate Collection; accession number MI-PR113) at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. All figures in the manuscript are based on the authentic culture, and Figure 1A has been selected as the holotype. A sequence of the small subunit rRNA gene is deposited as GenBank Accession No. AB679269)."
