Type locality: "Le matériel étudié provient des environs de Ferreiras, Algarve central (Portugal): route d'Albufeira. Associés à la nouvelle espèce,. nous avons observé Deloffrella quercifoliipora, Salpingoporella annulata et Choffatella pyrenaica, ce qui permet d'attribuer ces niveaux au Berriasien."; (Granier & Berthou 2002: 121) Notes: "Holotype: Pl. Il, fig. 5, Lame mince AL FR 21.3 1983 (Collection P.-Y. Berthou), Film 74 (3-7, 17-23), Film 29 (9-14), Film 31 (18, 21-25); autre matériel: Pl. Il, fig. 6, Lame mince FR AL 23.1 (Collection P.-Y. Berthou), Film 29 (30-34). Ce matériel sera déposé prochainement à l'ONGCP."
