Nomenclatural note
"This species, the type of the genus, was described and illustrated by Kützing (1869: 4, pl. 10/a-c) from Dalmatia (Croatia)based on a specimen held in Herbarium Sonder. Both Hauck (1883: 172) and Ardissone (1883: 256) considered it as a synonym of Nitophyllum venulosum [= A. ciliolatum]." (Cormaci & al. 2023: 457-458). - (06 December 2023) - M.D. Guiry
