Type locality: dwarf mangrove forest between Mowry and Military canals east from L31E levee near Biscayne Bay, Florida, U.S.A. (25°28'24.3"N, 80°20'45.8"W); (Wachnicka & Gaiser 2007: 407) Holotype: growing attached to artificial substrata and within perophyton mats in a dwarf mangrove forest ; ANSP; slide ANSP G.C 5799 (Wachnicka & Gaiser 2007: 407, fig. 66) Notes: Isotype: Slide CAS222010.
