California, USA; Notes: Dawson (1962: 93, 94) notes that the type is not specifically designated, consisting of two specimens on one sheet in Herb. Agardh, Lund, Sweden and that the type locality is not specifically designated, the two specimens: Nr. 31387 "California, Farlow," Nr. 31388 "Santa Barbara [California] L. N. Dimmick" (illustrated by Kylin).
