This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Vidalia spiralis (J.V.Lamouroux) J.V.Lamouroux ex J.Agardh.

Type locality: Probably Western Australia; (Silva & al. 1996: 533) Notes: Type from “Nouv. Holl.”; not located in Herb. Lamouroux, CN (Womersley, 2003: 399).
