Taxonomic note
According to Børgesen (1949a: 28-29), the name Liagora fragilis has been misapplied to this species by De Toni & Levy (1888: 65); Jadin (1935: 162), Børgesen (1942: 37). John et al. (2004) cite Liagora fragilis Zanardini as a synonym of this species. - (11 May 2006) - G.M. Guiry
