This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Coccophora langsdorfii (Turner) Greville.

Eponomy
Named for the collector, Georg Heinrich von Langsdorff (1774-1852) German physician and naturalist, of the University of Göttingen, who sailed with Estonian Admiral A.J. Krusentern on the first Russian circumnavigation of the world (1803-1806).
