General Environment
This is a marine species.
Habitat
Found epiphytically on Sporolithon durum and on rock, abalone shells, snails, sponges and bottles at depths of 1-20 m in southern Australia; elsewhere at greater depths and intertidally; (Womersley 1996: 227). On Avrainvillea and Udotea and on mussels, shells, corals and stones (cited in Woelkerling & Campbell 1992: 73).
