This is the type species (holotype) of the genus Analipus.

This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Analipus filiformis (Ruprecht) Papenfuss.

Origin of Species Name
Adjective B (Latin), fusiform; swollen at the middle and tapering to each end like a spindle; narrowly ellipsoid (Stearn 1983).
