Type Species
The type species (lectotype) of the genus Grateloupia is Grateloupia filicina (J.V.Lamouroux) C.Agardh.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Prionitis acroidalea (Setchell & N.L.Gardner) E.Y.Dawson.
