The type species (holotype) of the genus Ethelia is Ethelia biradiata (Weber Bosse) Weber Bosse.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Metapeyssonnelia mexicana (E.Y.Dawson) D.L.Ballantine & H.Ruiz.
