Type locality: Ecuador: Pichincha; (INA 1996) Notes: Yakimovich et al. (2021:1424, 1427 have defined the Raphidonema nivale clade by selecting the strain CCCryo 262-06 as the epitype for this species to support the drawing by Lagerheim, which has priority as the holotype (Lagerheim 1892: 523-524 and pl. XXVIII, figs 15-21).
