This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Tryblionella plana (W.Smith) Pelletan.

Smith slide VI-48-B9 (Van de Vijver, Hamilton & Lange-Bertalot 2021: 20) Notes: The type is from "Shagalieu Marsh" a locality not currently known in Poole Bay.
