Type locality: Daibanratu, Formosa [Taiwan]; (INA 1996: 172) Lectotype: Yamada; March 1924; on Liagora orientalis; SAP; 20646 (INA 1996: 171, 172) Notes: Yamada (1944:17): Daibanratu and Ryukyusyo, Formosa. Lectotype fide Y.P. See. T. Yoshida & M. Kurogi (INA).

Adjective (Latin), endophytic.

General Environment
This is a marine species.

Habitat
Endophytic. Hosts include Liagora orientalis and Helminthocladia australis (Lee et al. 1986: 172). On Liagora tanakae (Lee et al. 1986: 175 citing Abbott (1966).
