Habitat note
Epiphytic on smaller algae in lower-shore pools and subtidal to at least 12 m, at moderately to extremely wave-exposed sites, most frequently found around the margins of sandy patches in the shallow subtidal (Maggs & Hommersand 1993). - (06 February 2012) - G.M. Guiry
