Description
Spherical cells 3-8 mm in diameter; irregular cells with cytoplasmic extensions up to 15 mm or more in length; one chloroplast with stalked pyrenoid; membranes penetrating the pyrenoid; peripheral membranous network present immediately below plasma membrane; marine; cysts unknown.
