Living material deposited as strain CCMP 1537 in the Provasoli-Guillard National Center for Culture of Marine Phytoplankton.
General Environment
This is a marine species.
Description
Marine alga with the principal characters of the genus. Chloroplasts with semiembedded pyrenoids, traversed by cytoplasmic channels. Vegetative cells uninucleate, 5.0-13.0 µm diameter. Zoospores 4.0-6.0 µm across and up to twice as long as wide, the chloroplasts without eyespots.
