Type locality: Sail Rock, Kenting National Park, southern Taiwan (21º55.97'N, 120º49.44'E); (Lin, Hommersand & Fredericq 2004: 22) Holotype: S.-M. Lin; 2 October 2001; 1-2 m; NMMA; 10-02-2001-SR-Holo (Lin, Hommersand & Fredericq 2004: 22, 23) Notes: Holotype (Fig. 28): cystocarpic. Paratypes: tetrasporic, spermatangial. Habitat: 1-5 m depth; on coral heads.
Origin of Species Name
Adjective (Latin), from Formosa (Taiwan).
