Syntype localities: Al-Iskandariyah (Alexandria); As-Suways (Suez), Egypt; (Silva & al. 1996: 469) Notes: De Jong et al. (1999) give the following data for the type: LD 1001. 5a, Alexandria. However, Perrone et al. (2006) consider LD to be an error; the herbarium is BM.
