Nomenclatural note
"This species was described and illustrated by Zanardini (1861: 109, pl. XIII) from Dalmatia (Croatia). Hauck (1883: 176) reduced it to as a variety of D. hypoglossum as D. hypoglossum var. penicillata (Zanardini) Hauck." (Cormaci & al. 2023: 514). - (07 December 2023) - M.D. Guiry
