"The basionym of R. ardissonei (Palmaria ardissonei Kuntze nom. nov.) was proposed by Kuntze (1891: 909) for Rhodymenia corallicola (erroneously cited as %u201Ccorallina%u201D) Ardissone 1883 nom. illeg. being a later homonym of R. corallicola (Zanardini) Ardissone 1878 (= Gracilaria corallicola Zanardini).
