Nomenclatural note
Silva et al. (1996: 556) treats Aiolocolax Pocock as masculine as Art. 62.2 of the ICBN specified that compound generic names take the gender of the last word in the compound. As kolac (Greek, flatterer) is masculine, Aiolocolax is also masculine even though it was treated as feminine when first described. - (11 May 2006) - G.M. Guiry
