Type Information
Type locality: Mauritius; (Silva & al. 1996: 797) Lectotype: Areschoug or Pike; S; A2572 (Leliaert & Coppejans 2006: 668) Notes: Syntypes: Mauritius, S A2569, A2570 & A2571. Several specimens from Mauritius are present in S; one of these labeled 'Spongocladia vaucheriaeformis Aresch. Ad litora insula Mauritius, dedit Areschoug' from the Areschoug herbarium, is indicated as lectotype by Leliaert & Coppejans (2006: 668).
