Foslie; 18 April 1899; “"sample a"” on Gigartina [Mastocarpus stellatus].; TRH; A15-884 (Woelkerling & al. 2005: 125) Notes: Chamberlain (1994: 116) records selecting a lectotype in TRH. Syntypes from Sweden (Koster), Denmark (Nyköbing Mors), and Norway (Hvalöerne).
