General Environment
This is a marine species.
Description
Cartilaginous, light red fronds, to 30 mm high, with short cylindrical stipes from small discoid holdfasts. Blades flat, simple with parallel sides or dichotomously divided, sometimes with the appearance of a midrib. Reproductive structures borne in small fringing leaflets.
Habitat
On shady rocks and pool margins, often in caves, intertidal at all levels, widely distributed.
